There’s nothing quite like an all-American girl with an extreme likeability factor. Bailey Rayne is athletic, beautiful, and a down to earth personality. Since moving to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams, Bailey has quickly become one of the most well-known models around, and in our opinion: the top cam model out there right now. Coming to LA with no experience in modeling, Bailey was invited to test for Playboy and received a call back for a photo shoot. Ever since then, Bailey has never looked back and has been consistently putting out quality content for her fans to enjoy. Bailey is the total package, and she’s definitely America’s sweetheart.
How did you get interested in the adult entertainment industry?
Bailey Rayne: I got into the industry through camming. Money was an issue during college and I was having a difficult time working four part-time jobs and keeping up with my studies. I made enough to pay one month’s rent the first two nights I cammed so, as you can probably imagine, I was hooked! An agent found me on cam and offered to book work for me in LA. I flew out, shot for a few companies, and decided I loved LA so much that I moved here. I’m not with that agency anymore but I’m grateful for the introduction into mainstream adult work.
What was it like for you when you first entered the industry? Were you nervous, excited, etc.?
Bailey Rayne: I was very nervous when I first started shooting professional content. Before I entered the industry my self-esteem was extremely low and I never thought I’d be doing anything like this in a million years. To say I was nervous is a huge understatement. I still get nervous and excited before shoots.
What are some common misconceptions about you?
Bailey Rayne: I think some common misconceptions about me, and adult performers in general, would be that I’m horny all the time and love to party constantly. When my friends from college found out I was camming and modeling, guys literally invited me over to hang out with them in their dorm rooms. I mean, guys who never talked to me or knew me, would message me and just ask me to come over. They didn’t even try to hit on me first. There was just a strange assumption that I would want to have sex because I get naked on the internet now. I still have a difficult time understanding their thought process. I was a normal girl one day and then I was an object as soon as they saw me naked. I think it’s a society thing but it’s pretty fucked up.
How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? Do you have a“favorite failure” of yours?
Bailey Rayne: I’d really like to answer this one in a month. I have a really funny story but I can’t share it quite yet. I think failure is a natural part of any process and you only really fail if you don’t learn anything when things don’t work out. I have a great group of guys in my cam room so when I try out new things and they don’t quite go as well as I’d hoped, I know I’ll at least get a good meme or gif out of it because my MFC members love to pick on me lol.
If you could have one gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it–metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions–what would it say and why?
Bailey Rayne: If I could have a billboard of anything. . . I’d want it to be inspirational but I’d also want to generate traffic for my own content sales. It could maybe have a huge sexy photo of me and say, “Make someone smile today” or something like that and have my website on the bottom. Gotta make the most of a giant, hypothetical billboard.
What is one of the best or most worthwhile investments you’ve ever made? (Could be an investment of money, time, energy, etc.)
Bailey Rayne: I think putting a lot of time, money, and energy into creating my own content has been one of my most worthwhile investments. I started filming my own content four years ago before most girls in the industry were doing it. We don’t make residuals in porn so owning our own content is an important way to ensure that we’ll have passive income now and in the future.
What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
Bailey Rayne: An unusual habit I have might be listening to Disney music to psych myself up before cam shows. I know it’s kind of weird but it makes me happy and puts me in a really good mood before I log in.
In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?
Bailey Rayne: I’ve developed a stronger sense of self-worth over the past four years that I am so grateful for. I believe in myself a lot more now and that’s a big, positive change in my life.
What advice would you give to someone that is trying to get into the adult entertainment industry? What advice should they ignore?
Bailey Rayne: When girls ask me about getting into the industry, I usually advise them to try camming first but I understand that it isn’t for everyone. There are a few agencies I’d recommend but having an agent isn’t totally necessary. Building their brand and putting themselves out there goes a long way and can help bring in work with or without an agent. Owning and selling their own content while also shooting for other companies is a great idea too. I also tell new girls not to let anyone ever pressure them into shooting anything that makes them uncomfortable. Agents and fans will sometimes pressure talent this way and it drives me crazy.
How do you deal with negativity that is directed towards you (online and off?)
Bailey Rayne: Negativity is something I try to avoid but sometimes it sneaks into my life via social media, my cam room, or other performers. Honestly, I was picked on so much as a kid that it’s really hard to upset me. Most negativity just gets brushed off pretty easily. I’ll usually block any social media accounts that make negative posts or comments toward me, same goes for members when I’m on cam. I just block it out and move on. There’s so much positivity in the world, I’d much rather focus on that.
What can people expect to see from you in the future?
Bailey Rayne: I’m planning to mostly focus on my website and cam room on MFC this year. I have some really big stuff planned for 2019 though so keep an eye out!
