Exalted: Sophia West

Entering the adult entertainment industry in 2019-2020, Sophia West has shown us that she’s here to stay. Sophia hit the ground running early on in her career and was featured in Hustler Magazine’s series “So You Wanna Be a Cam Star.” Before she embarked on a career in adult entertainment, Sophia was a lingerie and lifestyle model. After reading this insightful interview, you’ll want to turn those notifications on for Sophia so you won’t miss a thing.

What made you switch from being a lingerie and lifestyle model to the adult entertainment industry?

Sophia West: I loved being a lingerie model, but it was rather boring at times. Anyone who tells you modeling is a fun job was doing it differently than me. The hours of just standing around and posing got to me. When it was suggested that I model in the adult world, I said, ‘why not?’ and did some nude shots. It was so much fun that I decided to try OnlyFans and then move to mainstream adult video work. It’s so exciting, and let’s face it, I get to get off. It was a natural fit.

Your first scene was for your taboo playhouse. How did your first scene go, and what were your thoughts when it was completed?

Sophia West: I shot for MissaX. I actually contacted her because I loved the quality of her work. When she offered to have me fly out and do some scenes, I immediately said yes. My first scene was with Tyler Nixon. He was great and gave me pointers. My first scene was anal and a lot of fun! I totally loved being on camera and came like three times. When I saw it, I was so happy–it was beautifully shot and so sexy. I still watch it here and there. It’s still my favorite shoot yet.

Did you set any goals or want to accomplish anything in particular when you entered the industry?

Sophia West: I want to be a girl who puts it all out there. Give it my all each and every time. I want to be classy yet slutty. Someone who you would see in an elegant ball gown, and then the next moment naked having sex with everyone. I also want to be known as a true professional with those who work with me, including talent, agencies, and studios. I want people to want to work with me and have a good experience doing it.

Was there a learning curve for you when you began to work in the industry?

Sophia West: My first scene Tyler Nixon gave me great advice. Since then, every scene that I’ve done after, I learned even more. Some of the things I’ve learned are how to position yourself, how to move, and what to do so it looks good on camera, etc. I’m still pretty new, so I will probably be learning for a while to come. It’s not just sex, it’s performing.

What are your favorite things that you like to do on camera?

Sophia West: Since I’m still pretty new, I haven’t done a ton of group sex scenes, but I love doing them. I did a gangbang scene–it was great working with all the guys, and we had so much fun. I am living out my fantasies and loving every minute of it.

Is there anything that you won’t do in the industry?

Sophia West: There are always limits, but I wouldn’t work with companies that would put me in that situation. Otherwise, I’m open to it all. The more wild the better, if you ask me.

Do you have a wishlist of companies/performers that you haven’t worked with but would like to?

Sophia West: I loved Blacked, because the guys are hot, and it’s so beautifully done. Tushy would also be fun for the same reasons. I am dying to work with Adriana Chechik because she’s wild like me. Plus, I think we’d both go totally crazy with each other.

What’s the most challenging aspect of working in the industry?

Sophia West: Covid-19. It’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

The industry is filled with countless talented people. How have you stood out from the crowd, and what kind of mark do you want to make in the industry?

Sophia West: I want to be the classy, elegant woman who is also a total slut and will do anything. There are so many beautiful girls in this industry, so it’s hard to stand out. When I start shooting more and doing more taboo things, people will definitely take notice. I also aim to be a total professional, who’s always on time, refreshed, and ready to go. I take my job very seriously and want the studios to know that.

When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?

Sophia West: I’m a big fan of going to the gym and working out constantly. I also love my dogs, collecting wine, and hiking. I’m obsessed with traveling and have spent a lot of time overseas.

What motivates you to get out of bed every day?

Sophia West: The gym, got to get my fix!

Do you have any favorite books or movies?

Sophia West: I love Eric Larson, and think he’s an incredible writer. I haven’t read all of his books, but I’m working through them one by one. I love movies, but I’m not sure I have a favorite.

How do you balance your personal and professional life?

Sophia West: You have to make time for both. It’s not good for anyone to work with a model who’s flabbergasted and exhausted. I book reasonable times and make sure that I am prepared by sleeping well and being fit. I also limit my drinking and don’t do drugs, and that helps me maintain a good balance and keep my energy up.

Do you look up to anyone in the industry?

Sophia West: Adriana Chechik is the hottest and most amazing performer. She’s beautiful, yet a total sex fiend. I admire her a lot. I also think MissaX is amazing. She’s spoiled me for the rest. The experience couldn’t be better. She’s a real professional.

What makes you feel confident when you’re in front of the camera and on set?

Sophia West: I’m ready, in shape, prepared, and willing to take it seriously. That mindset makes me want to do well and provide something special. I feel good when I know it has all come together.

With the pandemic and constant updates and guidelines, how has this affected you and your work?

Sophia West: I started porn, and then Covid-19 hit. I’ve been out ever since, so that sucks. Any momentum I got was gone. Thank GOD I have a great PR company(The Rub) that has kept me relevant. I wouldn’t know where I would be without them. My OnlyFans has also been great, and I’ve had the opportunity to shoot with a lot of great men and women.

What are your determining factors on if you’re going to agree to do a scene or content that somebody wants you involved in?

Sophia West: Like anyone, I want to make sure it’s a safe environment with established people and work in a space that also represents me. I’m not as interested in doing the one-off scenes where you walk in, say hi, have sex, leave, and the room isn’t even clean. That’s not for me, nor does it fit my brand. I want thought being put in the scene with it being at the very least well-lit and clean. I also want to do quality work with quality studios.

Are fame and glory vital to you in the industry?

Sophia West: Not really, but being known for this isn’t a bad thing. I won’t lie, I want everyone to know me! Maybe yes to the fame, and not so much the glory. But, if someone hands me an award, I’m not going to say no!

What’s the biggest lesson that you’ve learned since being in the industry, and has it helped you in any way?

Sophia West: To be nice, honest, and good to others. There are lots of girls, guys, executives, etc. that are like this. Surround yourself with good people, and take advice from established performers. Remember, you work for others, and what you do represents them. Take it seriously, not only for yourself but also those you work with.

What can people expect to see from you in the future?

Sophia West: Everything and anything. I want to push the boundaries, an amazing reputation, and to fulfill my fantasies. What more can a girl want? I’m excited for things to get back to normal, so everyone can watch me having sex with lots and lots of people.
